Attorney: Tiger Didn’t Receive PEDs from Galea: The New York Daily News reports that the attorney for Mary Anne Catalano said Tiger Woods did not receive PEDs while being treated by Dr. Anthony Galea. Catalano is the chief witnesses in the case against the Toronto based doctor who plead guilty to misbranding, and bringing unapproved drugs into the U.S. The attorney, Rod Personius, said in an e-mail to the Daily News, “I tell you categorically that Tiger did NOT receive either banned or performance enhancing drugs when treating with Dr. Galea.”
WR Britt Pleads Not Guilty: ESPN.com reports that Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt plead not guilty to three charges of disorderly person charges in a New Jersey court Tuesday. The charges stem from a June incident where Britt was allegedly caught by Hoboken police carrying a marijuana cigar.
Clemens Defense to Question Validity of Probe: ESPN.com reports that Roger Clemens’ lawyer, Michael Attanasio, said that the 2008 Congressional hearing involving PEDs in baseball had nothing to do with Congress’ legislative responsibilities. This is the same hearing Clemens is accused of lying to, resulting in perjury and obstruction of justice charges.
