Dodgers file for bankruptcy: The Associated Press reports the Los Angeles Dodgers filed for bankruptcy protection in Delaware Monday.

New contract for Calipari: ESPN reports Kentucky awarded men’s basketball coach John Calipari with a two-year contract extension and a raise, giving him a total of eight more years with the Wildcats. The new deal is worth $36.5 million.

Security guard sues MLB: Courthouse News Service reports that a Latino security professional claims he was turned into a chauffeur in a racially motivated “bait and switch” job offer from Major League Baseball. The guard is seeking $12.8 million in damages for racial discrimination and Labor Law violations.
